Priorities on the City Council
We must work together to ensure our streets are safe, that there are quality educational opportunities for our students, and that we bring jobs and businesses into the city while keeping the identity of our community.

Community Health and Safety

We must prioritize community health and safety. On the city council, I will make sure we bring in more healthcare options and partner with regional partners to continue investing in our healthcare access, including mental health access. Additionally, we need to make sure we make our air quality better by decreasing truck traffic and stopping the over-development of warehouses.
I will also work to make sure our law enforcement partners have the tools they need to be successful in tackling crime, and I will work with them on unique solutions to combat street racing, graffiti, property theft, and homelessness.
Expanding Access to Quality Education

As a Professor and local mom, I want to see our city expand access to amazing educational opportunities. This means more investment in libraries, bringing outside investments in to build museums and art installations, and making sure the city works with our school districts to ensure our schools are properly funded.
Good Jobs and More Affordable Housing

We need high-paying jobs in this region so that we don't need to drive to LA, the OC, or even San Diego for work, which is the reality for so many. I will make sure the city works to bring in business investments so that we bring better jobs to our city.
Additionally, we need to make sure our residents aren't being priced out. We need to ensure that as we continue the city's growth, that there are an ample supply of housing residents can afford.
New Businesses North of the Freeway
Nuevos negocios al norte de la autopista
Our district is entirely north of the freeway. We need more shopping and dining options in this area, while keeping the unique rural charm in some of our neighborhoods. I will work with the city to punish developers who leave shopping centers in a derelict state. I will also work with business owners who want to invest in building businesses here locally to put those businesses in these shopping centers that sit empty. Dozens of new businesses are being opened every year in Moreno Valley, including some brand-name national chains and amazing local mom and pop businesses, and we need to bring that to our area north of the freeway as well.
